UAE tourist visa applications are open to tourists from all countries across the globe. As per UAE Visa regulations, depending on the nationality of the tourists they can get access to a visa on arrival or apply for a pre-arranged visit visa. Considering that COVID-19 is again on a rise across nations, it is important for tourists to verify safety protocols of travel to Dubai. With the recent developments in the COVID-19 scenario it is utmost important for visitors to get themselves tested when visiting Dubai. Rezmondo provides medical travel insurance with international coverage that covers COVID-19 test before traveling to Dubai or any other destination.

Visitors to UAE or Dubai specifically must note that all children below 12 years of age have been exempted from the COVID-19 PCR test. However, they must check with the entry guidelines for UAE before visiting.

In case a tourist tests positive or has symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival at Dubai Airport then compliance with 10-day isolation becomes mandatory. Those tourists who are a COVID-19 close case need not quarantine themselves if they are not experiencing any symptoms.

No, only if the tourists test positive for COVID-19 they will be required to quarantine themselves. Tourists must check carrier and Dubai travel requirements for COVID-19 PCR testing.
Those passengers who need to get a COVID-19 PCR test done at arrival in Dubai are required to self-quarantine until they receive their results, which can be expected within 12 hours.

Unvaccinated travelers to Dubai are required to furnish a negative PCR test result done within 48 hours of arrival. You may also furnish a certificate of recovery from COVID-19, obtained within one month before the date of travel.
Kindly note that tourists can furnish printed or digital PCR tests or vaccination certificates in English or Arabic. These must include a QR code. SMS certificates are not accepted. Certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the departure point.
Unvaccinated visitors most likely have to present the same results or certificates when attending free movement events, such as standing concerts, depending on the venue they go to.

Since January 26, 2022, passengers traveling to Dubai from all countries (GCC included) are required to present one of the following:
A valid certificate with a QR code as a proof of full vaccination with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the UAE A negative PCR test with a QR code, based on a molecular diagnostic test intended for the qualitative detection of nucleic acid for SARS-COV-2 viral RNA, and issued within 48 hours from the time of sample collection to the flight time by an approved health service provider Provide a valid medical certificate with a QR code issued by relevant authorities reflecting that the individual has recovered from COVID-19 within a month prior to the date of arrival Individuals must note that UAE nationals are exempted from the above requirements, but they must take a PCR test on arrival at Dubai airport. This is also subject to the requirements from the country of origin. Some passengers may require a PCR test on arrival in Dubai and they must self-quarantine until receiving a negative result. If a passenger tests positive, they should follow the guidelines issued by the Dubai Health Authority.

Yes, you definitely need travel insurance when coming to Dubai. You must ensure you have medical travel insurance with international coverage that covers COVID-19 before traveling.

When you are in Dubai for a holiday, it is mandatory to have masks for indoor activities, but for outdoor activities it’s good to use to for your own safety but not mandatory.

The rules and conditions for entry at the final destination apply for transit passengers. Every passenger must ensure that they check their country’s travel advisory for latest guidance on outbound trips, and also their carrier requirements.

In case of cancellation of a trip the following rules apply:

  • If it is canceled 60 days prior to the date of travel, 10% will be deducted from the actual amount.
  • If it is canceled 40 days prior to the date of travel, 50% will be deducted from the actual amount.
  • If it is canceled 20 days prior to the date of travel, 80% will be deducted from the actual amount.
  • If it is canceled 10 or less than days prior to the date of travel, 100% will be deducted from the actual amount.

Travelers can definitely change tours as per their convenience but they must keep in mind that hotel bookings are non-refundable.

UAE Visa

The UAE authorities have laid down new guidelines for tourist visas which can be checked on the official website.

UAE tourist visa is valid for 60 days when traveling to the country for tourism after which it will expire.

Yes, you need to submit a written document stating the purpose of your visit and itinerary.

Applicants are screened for communicable diseases, including hepatitis, HIV, leprosy, syphilis and tuberculosis and more.

The new rules after a visa cancellation in the UAE allow the person to stay in the UAE for 6 months, or 180 days.

The UAE Government issues several types of visas and entry permits based on the purpose of your visit.

Prerequisites for document requirements for a UAE Visa are as follows:

  • Travelers are required to submit their passport. The passport validity must suffice for at least 6 months at the time of entering UAEi.
  • They must also submit a coloured copy of their passport
  • Remember to keep a few passport-size photographs of yours
  • You need to furnish certain financial proofs (if requested), like bank statements and Income Tax Returns
  • Kindly submit duly filled application form and the processing fee

Some additional documents that you may be required to submit when applying for a UAE visa include:

  • Your proof of accommodation including your hotel bookings, etc.
  • For a student visa, candidates need to submit their letter of admission
  • In case of a UAE Family Visit Visa – Family member details and proof of relationship to the UAE-residing member needs to be provided
  • National ID and its copy (if requested)
  • For a UAE Work Visa the necessary documents includes proof of education & work experience
  • If you are applying for UAE Business Visa from UK, remember to furnish proof of business and its financial details
  • Tax Returns or Tax receipts – These will show tax adhere to your resident country
  • Minimum age of applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and they must have a valid proof of the same. For applicants under the age of 18, there must be a presence of a guardian above the age of 18.

Note – If there is any history of travel to Israel then that can serve as a hindrance in your application process for UAEVisa.

Travelers must ensure that they fulfill the passport validity requirements when traveling to the UAE. The passport validity must suffice for at least 6 months at the time of entering UAE.

You can get a UAE visa on arrival at the airport. It is advisable to apply for your Dubai visa online at least 30 days prior to the intended arrival into Dubai so that the visa validity will be sufficient for the visit.

UAE visa is valid for 60 days from the date issue. This is not applicable for the 96-hour and 48-hour visas as they are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

UAE visa processing time takes approximately 3 to 4 working days. However entry to the Emirates is subject to immigration approval for all travelers.
